This wonderful 30 year-old had above the muscle saline implants placed in Hawaii 10 years ago. The are wrinkly and have a "ball in sock" bottom heavy look. She met with 4 other Board Certified Plastic Surgeons in the Seattle area and received advice ranging from pocket reconstructions, use of acellular dermal matrix materials, removal of the old capsules, and full breast lifts with vertical scars.
I advised that all we do is a submuscular conversion with high profile gels and let all settle and heal for 3 months. She is thrilled with her result and is glad that she didn't do all of the other complex and expensive procedures that were recommended, nor did she wind up with permanent scars from a lift.
