How Breast Lift Surgery is Performed

Excess skin and glandular tissue is lifted or removed to elevate the breasts.

After Your Breast Lift: What to Expect

Most patients return to work after about 1 week and resume exercise in 2 - 4 weeks. Discomfort, bruising and some swelling should be expected and medications will be prescribed by Dr. Rand to control pain. Patients are advised to wear a surgical bra night and day for 2 weeks. Scars will initially be pink and slightly raised, but they will fade and flatten out in the months that follow surgery, up to one year.

How long do results of a breast lift last?

It is understandable that one should expect long-lasting results after going through surgery. Several factors affect the longevity of a breast lift: The first is your skin elasticity and tissue firmness: poor skin elasticity and lack of firmness will generally shorten the duration of your results. The need for breast implant to restore volume and firmness will also affect longevity. Finally, the technique and talent of your plastic surgeon will play a major role.
